Drugs were found in my car but they are not mine. I was arrested. Do I need an attorney?

Absolutely you need an attorney. Regardless of whether the vehicle was yours or not, the officers could argue that you were in what’s called constructive possession of the drugs, which means that they were found, somehow, in your car and you either knew or did not know about them. It is incredibly serious when you are found to either be in actual possession or constructive possession of drugs. It has enormous consequences of potentially misdemeanor or federal convictions. You need an experienced criminal defense attorney to represent you and defend you against these charges.
