For instance, any person who gives a false age on a license application or possesses a card on which the holder’s birth date has been changed can be charged with a second degree misdemeanor, which is punishable by a $500 fine and up to 2 months in jail. However, someone who sells or manufactures forged cards can be charged with a third degree felony, which is punishable by a $5,000 fine and up to 5 years in prison.
