If you’ve been caught for shoplifting, what’s probably going to happen next is the store owner is gonna bring you into a room and they’re gonna ask you a number of questions. They might wanna take your photograph. They might wanna get your information. They’re probably gonna ask you to sign a document admitting that you did in fact take something and you’re now responsible for returning it or for paying it back to them. You don’t have to do any of these things. In the event that you don’t do them, it’s likely that the police officers are going to be called. They will arrive at the store and either they’ll give you a promise to appear or they’ll arrest you at the store. The most important things that you need to remember is to call an experienced criminal defense attorney so that we can best represent you in resolving this case. Don’t make any unnecessary statements. Call us so that we can help you.
