We are often retained to conduct corporate investigations prior to or after criminal charges have been filed. We go to the business place and inspect it. We talk with employees, review business records, memos, emails, financial records (often with the benefit of a forensic financial report) in order to thoroughly understand the business and the basis for the criminal charges.
