Back to Miami Criminal Defense Attorney Frequently Asked Questions

Video Transcription

If the FBI try to contact you, the most important thing that you need to do is immediately contact an experience criminal defense attorney. Don’t answer any of their questions. Answering their questions can often lead in you providing the evidence that is going to build the case against you and likely result in a federal conviction against you. Instead contact us that we can advise you on what is the best thing to do next. Unfortunately, a lot of circumstances if the FBI is investigating you, you will learn of that investigation either by receiving a target letter stating that you are in fact the target or by a letter stating that you are a witness to something and the alternative you could be rudely awakened in the middle of the night by agents knocking your door down.

In any circumstances in which an FBI agent tries to contact you, our advise would be, be courteous to them but don’t answer any of their questions and don’t make any other statements. Instead contact us that we can best advise you on what is the next best thing for you to do.
